Intentional Stillness

Every day lately seems to be full of almost chaotic energy. I feel it when I work, I feel it when I run errands, I feel it even when I am alone in the car driving to the city. We all tap into and absorb the energy around us from other people, from the air, from our surroundings, from our own thoughts... it is polarizing and disruptive and can be terrifying for those that are energy "feelers" and sponges. How do we find ways to disconnect in a healthy way, to not absorb so much that we are almost suffocated by life and the world ? How do you? How do I? For me, fresh air, walking, my animals, taking pictures, looking at the sky, the stars, my backyard... anything that gives me that pause, that feeling of brief calm, that break in the constant worry of will I get everything done, will I succeed, will I add value today... will I, will I ... and I have had to mentally AND physically carve out intentional time to STOP, be still, breathe, look around, take in what amazing things I have around me, that I have access to like woods and beaches and my own created Stillness and Self. Taking pictures with my camera/ phone when I am in that intentional space allows me to capture that feeling to look back on and refer to when I am in a less than positive headspace, I love sharing with everyone the things I see when I am walking, or travelling or just being... and with that intention of stillness, I hope those images can help, even just for a moment, to give some stillness to someone else. Look after yourself, you are the only you around :)
