“Self” - a word we probably use somewhere every day. Do we ever really take note of it though- or if we do - is it positive or not so positive. Self-worth, self-esteem, self- love , self care.... a lot of the time are so busy being , or trying to be, selfless- we end up at the other end of the pendulum. Low self esteem, little to no self care or love , low self worth. And reprogramming a mind that has accepted over years that putting our “Self” last is the way to go is no easy feat. But it is essential that we do that work of reprogramming- of putting our “Self “ first ... as simple as taking 10 or 15 minutes a day for a walk, a workout, to call or reach out to your bestie, to have a bath, or just sit in silence and just BE. Self care and self love do not have to be complicated- but anything positive around Self is essential... and I’m going to take you on that journey with me and rediscover our true and healthy mind - and how we can shift our unhealthy mindset habits to new and uplifting ones.

I’ve been interested in mindset and behaviour for decades.

Even in college I focused on Animal Behaviour for my 4th year paper. Slightly different for the 4 legged critters as compared to us two leggers and yet all is fascinating when related to the mind and behaviour and shows so well how our instincts and hard wiring come from the same place so many eons ago.

Diving into the human psyche is one long journey and revelation especially when you start with yourself and it is infinitely easier to hand out advice and support to others then face the shadows and depth of our ourselves.

Self- worth and self esteem aren't things we are born lacking in, we are born complete. We are open, curious, trusting and whole. And then life and all its influences and noise crash in and the additional learning and uncovering begins!

Life paths can be pretty rough, many we can walk or shake off quickly, some are worn much longer and some stay (almost hidden) forever.

Here is where the learning and being supported to dig into the causes and triggers of where the lack originated is the beginning of such light and release. It isn't easy work, it requires so much self grace, kindness and compassion and intention to keep going. To be open to leaning on others, finding those on the same journey to truly embrace switching on (again) your true Self. Each step in uncovering your true Self, no matter how small is a step in the right direction to supporting yourself and your healing.

Stay tuned and stay in faith of your Self
